What is Modern Talking?
Modern Talking was one of the 80s most popoular
duos, and during a three year period, from 1984 to 1987, they sold many
millions of records. The duo consists of two German guys; Dieter Bohlen,
who is the writer and composer, and Thomas Anders who is mainly the singer.
Modern Talking started as one of Dieter Bohlen's
projects in 1983, but the first single, "You're My Heart, You're My Soul",
was not relased until September 1984. It became a huge hit in Germany and
the rest of Europe as well. Modern Talking followed up with many other
hits like: "You Can Win If You Want", "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie"
and "Atlantis Is Calling (S.O.S For Love)". However, after their sixth
album, In The Garden Of Venus, they decided to go their own separate ways.
In March 1998 Dieter and Thomas came back with
Modern Talking. Since then they have released three albums, the latest
one is 2000 - Year Of The Dragon, and they're planning a new single right
now. Modern Talking is back for good! |
